Press release Training Course for Journalists Entitled “The Capacity-Building of Journalists in Public Opinion Issues” EOHR is holding today, with the cooperation of The Arabic Internews Network in El Fayoum, a training course for journalists entitled “The Capacity- Building of Journalists in Public Opinion Issues.” In addition to aiming at promoting the freedoms of opinion and expression, the course also intends to inculcate those journalists present with the importance of international and Egyptian standards of professionalism. Finally, it seeks to promote human rights values in general as well as the freedoms to access and exchange information more specifically. The training course will last for four days; lecturers will include legal scholars and senior journalists. Trainees will be thirty-five in number and will represent national, opposition and independent newspapers. |
