EOHR convenes a symposium entitled 'Towards a fair free Parliamentary Elections'

The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) convenes a symposium on Sunday and Monday (23-24/10/2005), held in Pyramiza Hotel (Dokki), entitled 'Towards a fair free Parliamentary Elections', the participants are well known activists, Constitutional law lecturers, political parties members and finally members of Shoura Council and People's Assembly.
The symposium discusses the necessity for an integrate Parliamentary Elections, -in which the first stage will start on (9/11/2005)-, determining electoral lists, role of media, political parties, judicial supervision, the state's apparatus separation to all state institutions, including (religious institutions and the leading party), in addition to estimating the credibility of legislative and legal authority in organizing the elections, and the deeds which will be held in the following elections. The symposium will end with a round table entitled 'Parliamentary Elections and the following stage requirements'.
