The Constitutional Platform Convenes its Third Meeting

The Constitutional Platform members of Alexandria convenes their third meeting to discuss the proposed amendments to the Constitution required in the upcoming stage.
These amendments were represented in five mainstreams which are the president authorities and the means of electing him, co-relation between the three authorities, means of enacting the legislative and monitoring role of the parliament, mechanisms of ensuring an independent judiciary, and the ability of drafting a full chapter on freedoms and rights.
These amendments shall be discussed next Wednesday by the drafting committee of the platform headed by Judge/ Ahmed Mekki, Vice-president of the Court of Cassation. A draft of the constitutional amendments to be reached by the Alexandria members after discussing them in a general meeting in order to be announced to the public.
