EOHR Convenes a workshop on
"Bedwins of Sinai….Challenges and Mechanisms of Confrontation"

Dear Sir/ Madam,
The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights cordially invites you to a workshop on "Bedwins of Sinai….Challenges and Mechanisms of Confrontation" that will take place on Wednesday 16th May 2007 at 5:00 pm, Shepherd Hotel, Cairo.
The workshop aims to address the political, social, economic, cultural and security challenges faced by the residents of the governorate, and to determine the mechanisms to face and overcome these challenges. The workshop will conclude to live testimonies of the residents of North Sinai and the violations they suffer.
This workshop synchronizes with the uprising crisis in Sinai especially after the Taba and Sharm EL Shaikh bombings, and the arbitrary arrests that followed them, and the death of two bedwins that took place recently. These consequent events eventually led to the aggravation of the situation and North Sinai, which required an immediate resolution.
